Re: self build kit boat? there was a time when this was the way to go. i have a dehler 22 (1984) and the majority (possibly all) were supplied as completed hulls with option kits to fit the boat out to whatever standard.. The boat plans do not assume that you have access to, or the money for, a cnc plasma cutting company to produce a boat kit for you. instead, the boats are built the old fashioned way, from the keel up, and as this is the most economic way of constructing a boat it is well suited to tight budgets and simple building facilities.. Jordan boats will create plywood kits for almost any boat design. in the past ten years we have created kits for over 100 designs from selway fisher, iain oughtred, andrew wolstenholme, walt simmons of duck trap, and several kits for client designs..
